BUILD YOUR VOCABULARY
English vocabulary level has been shown to be strongly related to educational success. In addition, it is related to the level of occupation attained. It is highly correlated with measures of reading ability and intelligence.
One of the most important factors of success on the ACT, PSAT, or SAT is the ability to comprehend college-level vocabulary words. But the importance of a high-level vocabulary doesn’t stop with these exams.
Whatever field you decide to pursue, the ability to understand and use advanced vocabulary increases both your earning potential and your career possibilities.
Getting a headstart by building vocabulary while still in high school can make a significant difference in the opportunities available to you in college — and in life.

FOCUS YOUR STUDY
The ZAPS vocabulary app presents college-level words in manageable sets ideal for maximizing your learning. Rather than browsing an entire dictionary, you can focus your study time on the words you're most likely to encounter on college-admissions and scholarship tests.
You'll learn words that you're likely to see on the SAT, PSAT, and ACT — college-level vocabulary that you'll encounter in your future classes. Even more important, you'll broaden your understanding of everything you read and hear throughout your lifetime.
Any word that increases our ability to express ourselves enriches our lives.

PRACTICE ZAPS STRATEGIES
Students who take a ZAPS test-preparation seminar gain important practice on the PSAT and SAT Critical Reading subtests when they use the ZAPS app. To extend your learning, the app provides essential ZAPPING tips in the Hints for each Challenge question. This reinforcement is a helpful tool for students who have not yet taken the PSAT or SAT test, or who want to retake the SAT to improve their score.
But what if you take the ACT seminar instead? Even though you will not have practice on the PSAT/SAT-style Critical Reading format, you will be able to apply many ZAPS Hints within the app to understand how the word(s) fits into each Challenge sentence.
